It is not too late to join! We will start class 2 in our series with a review of the previous class!
Our Waltz group class series is a set of classes designed to teach individuals the basics of waltz dancing. Waltz is a smooth ballroom dance that originated in Austria in the 18th century and is danced to 3/4 time music. The class series typically consists of a progressive set of lessons that build upon each other, starting with the basic steps and progressing to more complex patterns.
In the first class, participants will learn the basic steps of the Waltz, including the box step and the natural turn. In subsequent classes, they will learn more advanced steps. The instructor will demonstrate the steps and provide individual feedback to help participants master the movements.
Throughout the class series, participants will learn how to lead and follow their partner, maintain proper posture and frame, and execute the steps with grace and fluidity. The class series may also cover musicality, tempo, and timing, as well as techniques for spinning, turning, and traveling across the dance floor.
By the end of the series, participants should have a solid understanding of the Waltz and be able to confidently execute a variety of steps and patterns. They will also have the opportunity to practice their skills in a social dance setting, such as a ballroom dance party or a Waltz performance.
